Tips for Writing:

What kind of programs can I use for the correct screen writing format?
Well, this isn't an extremely formal community or anything and it's not required. But, if your interested then you can try out free programs like http://celtx.com or you can buy expensive (but good) programs like Final Draft.

Here's an example:

EXT. CAR (DAWN)

The Patrolman holds up his hand.

PATROLMAN
(startled)
Hold it there!

Mary slams down on the brake, tries to pull herself together.
The Patrolman raps again, less gently.

Reluctantly, Mary rolls down the window. The Patrolman studies
her for a moment.

PATROLMAN
In quite a hurry.

MARY
Yes.
(because he seems to
be awaiting an
explanation)
I didn't mean to sleep so long. I
was afraid I'd have an accident last
night, from sleepiness... so I decided
to pull over...

PATROLMAN
You slept here all night?
Heh. Anyone know where this came from? (Credit to: http://imsdb.com )

Can we post videos of our screenplay on here?
Yes. If you film your screenplay then it'd be great if you post the video on here. As goes with posters, advertisements, or casting for your screenplay. The more the merrier. Just don't forget to credit.

Where can I go to read proffesional screenplays? Does that help any?
Reading screenplays that have already been made into films, whether it be a tiny low-budget indie or big time blockbuster, is highly recomended.
